1st quarter of 2005 results

1st quarter of 2005 United Panel Group has worked with over fulfillment of the plan expected.
In comparison to the first quarter of 2004 there is the increase in total production output of 13%. On the other hand, the total yield of the big size plywood (1500x3000mm, 1525x3050mm) has been increased up to 55%!
There was a 6% growth in production of particle boards of the 1st grade.

In the first quarter of 2005 the output of the high quality MDF has been increased.
Now those panels are produced with the thicknesses from 6mm up to 24mm. And it is worth to note that the capabilities of the upgraded edge cutting machinery at the MDF plant allow to vary the size of the MDF panels from 1650mm to 3660mm in length and from 1570mm to 1650mm in width.

UPG is continuing to work on the quality characteristics of MDF. For example, the company is ready to offer its customers the panels with the reduced moisture content - down to 4%, that will allow to use those panels in special furniture and bathroom furniture production without any doubts, it will also increase the reliability of the panels in kitchen fronts production. Those panels are suitable for the construction purposes as well.

Just for the construction users now there is some work is being done to upgrade some physical and mechanical data of the MDF panels produced.
