PLYWOODPlywood - is a wooden product made of bonded plies of veneer.Plywood is normally made of a number of plies depending on the thickness, necessary to archive. The veneer is normally is cross-bonded. There is a plywood with veneer grain positioned in the same direction. The number of plies in the plywood we producer could range from 3 to 23. The grain of the face ply of the plywood is normally directed in the same longtude as the core ply, thus uneven number of plies in the plywood. Standard plywood panels are bonded with phenolic resin adhesive and depending on the resin used could be for interior and exterior use. The plywood also differs upon the type of the wood used. It could be birch, coniferous and kombined. The veneer of the face normally accepted as the veneer of which the whole plywood is made of. One of the most important characteristics of the plywood is the amount of formaldehyde emitted. It could fall in class E1 or E2 and emits up to 10 or 10 to 30 mg of HCHO per 100 gr of product respectively. Applications and usage of the plywood produced by UPG:

Before & after USE recommendation
BEFOREProtect the panels from direct contact with water and sun by storing in a building or by covering with a suitable waterproof cover. Store on level ground, well clear of mud or standing water, and away from any risk of contact with vehicles or machinery. Avoid storing in very hot and dry places which may lead to panel distortion. If the panels are to be stored on site for more than a few days, the outer packing and strapping should be removed. CAUTION: Once the strapping has been removed, the boards should not be moved further on site using mechanical handling equipment, as overlaid panels are extremely slippery. Formwork preparation Coated UPG Shuttering plywood is delivered with edges painted to exclude moisture penetration. If panels are cut or drilled on site, all cut edges and holes must be painted immediately with a suitable water resistant paint. For best results plywood should be fastened to the form from the back of the panel. The selection of the most suitable type of release agent, in accordance with the phenol film overlay, will ensure cleaner striking of the forms and more reuses. The quality of the release agent may also affect the quality or appearance of the concrete finish. AFTER USE Clean carefully and reoil immediately. Forms not cleaned immediately after use are likely to be damaged when removing fully cured concrete from the face. Take care not to damage the panel surface if using metal or other sharp tools to remove concrete from the panel. Store the forms with the face away from the sun, for example leaning against a wall. Exposure of the plywood face to the sun can lead to rapid loss of moisture from the face veneer, and damage to the overlay. Depending on storage conditions and intervals between pours, formwork panels must be oiled before each and every use. Repair small scratches with paint or a suitable mastic. Fill deeper scratches, nail or screw holes with mastic or epoxy filler. Wooden inserts are available for larger repairs.
